Grammar Errors Nationwide

I’ve received a lot of emails from readers featuring bad grammar from their hometowns. These are awesome — I love them.

Here are five of my favorites:

I think we’ve found our companion for all the MENS signs everywhere. I needs to get me some shoes for my WOMANS!

I don’t know about you, but I have this image in my mind of a state park where two “caution trails” — fenced-in, easy-to-walk trails for those fearful of everything from snapes to mosquitos — merging, and everyone being too scared to cross.

And dog is must be on leash.

Andy, I’m not going to post the email you sent me, but seriously….are you trying to trip me up? Why would you send an email like that?

Hygienic is the correct spelling of the word, not hygenic. The sign uses both spellings.

Waterfree should be water-free, but it looks like that’s part of a brand name in this instance.

There’s an extra space between this and touch-free.

Weird.
