THE GREATEST GRAMMAR ERROR OF ALL TIME

This needs no introduction.

Well, maybe a bit.

My dear friend Ryan was perusing JohnMcCain.com, for some odd reason, and came across the most delicious grammar error I’ve ever seen.

Oh, my God…

This is fantastic on SO many levels.

What’s most hilarious is that this is on McCain’s official Web site.  This isn’t a souvenir put together by an enthusiastic member of the GOP to make some extra cash.  This is official stuff.

I must ask…is our children learning yet?

Since Ryan sent this to me on Friday, McCain’s site has changed the pen to the proper grammar.  But if you don’t believe me, you can still see documentation of this hilarity here and here.

  1. I think that one speaks for itself.

  2. Sweet merciful crap. That’s really sad.

  3. … reminds me of the one Lynn Truss quoted in “Eats, Shoots and Leaves”: a sign seen in New York reading “Nigger’s out”, under which someone had scribbled: “But he’ll be back shortly”.

Anyway, if only ONE student is for McCain, we needn’t worry so much.

  5. The dumbing down of America is Republican strategy.

  6. Classic. Idiots.

There will always be jobs for us.

  7. It’s nearly poetic. Absolute perfection!

  8. Looseness of grammar and capitalization lead me to offer this old political chestnut – Q. Does John McCain wear boxers or briefs? A. Just depends!

  9. Wow, those Republicans sure are bad spellers! How can anyone consider voting for McCain when he can’t even bother to make sure not a single misspelling happens during his entire candidacy!

Obama (peace be upon him) would never allow a misspelling! Vote for him if you love spelling!

  10. Wow, that’s almost as bad as Obama referencing the 58 states in the union, or forgetting the pledge of allegience. Maybe one of his paid fainters can help McCain learn to spell. I think his problem is that he blinks too much while typing. As you can see, I don’t like either candidate. You have my independent vote.
